This article highlights how to export publications from Google Scholar so that they can be imported into myElements. This will help eliminate the need for manual entry and increase the quality of publication data in myElements.

Task: Exporting Publication Data from Google Scholar
Instructions
There are many databases and publication stores that allow you to export to different file types. MyElements can harvest metadata from RIS (Reference Manager, Endnote) and Bibtex files. Although each application/database may do it a little differently, most of them have the capability built in. This article is specific to Google Scholar.
Step 1 - Sign in to Google Scholar

Step 2 - Click on My profile

Step 3 - Check the publications you want to export

Step 4 - Click Export

Step 5 - Click on BibTex

Step 6 - Click File
Step 7 - Click Save Page As
Step 8 - Add .ris to end of file name
Step 9 - Save File
NOTE: You will need to be able to find this file for importing into myElements.

Outcome
You will be able to export publications from Google Scholar so that they can be imported into myElements.
